Heart disease also known as cardiac disease is basically a term that refers for any type of disorder that affects the heart. Cardiovascular disease refers to disorders of the blood vessels and heart. While cardiac disease only refers to disorders of just the heart. It is basically the result of the narrowing or blockage of the arteries, the blood vessels that supply the heart with blood, oxygen, and nutrients. This is called as coronary artery disease or coronary heart disease which happens slowly over time and is the main reason why people have heart attacks.
Other diseases might happen because the heart might not pump well, or because of the valves in the heart which can even cause heart failure.
Heart disease nowadays may be a leading cause of death, but that doesn’t means that we need to accept it as fate. It is a major cause of disability. Some risk factors such as family history, age, gender also have a big impact about having this disease. Smoking, Drinking Alcohol, taking unhealthy food items, not having enough sleep and not visiting your doctor on a regular checkup basis may lead to have heart disease.
The risk of heart disease increases as a person age. For a male it increases over age 45 and for a female it increases over age 55. However, someone can also have this disease if they have a close family member who had this disease at an early age. Even some people are born with a heart disease because of their family history.

Get enough Quality sleep.
People who don’t get enough sleep have a higher risk of obesity, high blood pressure, heart attack, diabetes and depression. You should take 7-9 hours sleep every night. -
Lower your Cholesterol.
Once every 5 years get your Cholesterol level checked.
High levels of Cholesterol can lead to a heart disease. Your Cholesterol level should be 200mg/dL.
